On the concluding day of the Interschool Basketball and Lawn tennis matches, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation. The day began with intense final matches in both sports, showcasing the exceptional skills and sportsmanship of the participating teams.
In the basketball finals, teams displayed remarkable teamwork and agility on the court. The matches were closely contested, with each team giving their all to secure victory. The crowd was treated to thrilling moments of slam dunks, three-pointers, and fast breaks. The results of the Interschool Basketball match were 1st position was won by Guru Nanak Public School, Sec 36 followed by the Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School on the 2nd position and 3rd position was won by Vivek High School, sector 38, Chandigarh.
Tanmay Dhankhar from Sacred Heart Sr. Sec. School was declared at the Best Player of the Tournament
On the lawn tennis courts, players exhibited their finesse and precision, engaging in intense rallies and strategic plays. The matches were a testament to the dedication and training of the young athletes, as they showcased their prowess in serves, volleys, and powerful groundstrokes. The final match was held between Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School and St.Anne's Convent sch, Sector 32 ,Chd. It was a team event . From Sacred Heart Vanshika Yadav won against Florence by 6-1 and Aahna Bhalla won against Nishka by 6-1. Overall winners were Sacred Heart Sr. Sec. School won by 2-0. For 3rd position, matches were held between Vivek High School, Sector 38,Chd and DPS sector 40 Chd . Jiana Chawla from Vivek High School played against Annanya of DPS and Rabiah Dullet from Vivek High played against Avni of DPS . The scores were :Annanya beat Jiana Chawla by 6-4 and Rabiah beat Avni by 6-0
In Doubles : Rabiah/Jiana beat Ananya/ Avni by 6-0
Vivek High School Chandigarh grabbed the third position.
Vanshika Yadav from Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School was declared as the Best Player of the Tournament.
After the finals, the much-awaited prize distribution ceremony took place. Rev. Sr. Arti, Rev. Sr. Lucy, Match officials and Coaches graced the occasion to recognize the outstanding achievements of the players. Trophies, medals, and certificates were awarded to the winners and runners-up of both the basketball and lawn tennis tournaments.
The event was not only about competition but also about fostering camaraderie among students from different schools. Players from different schools came together to celebrate their shared love for sports and their dedication to honing their skills.
