The NSS Unit of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, celebrated the spirit of Diwali through a Donation Drive, Anti-Cracker Rally, and Pledge Ceremony on 15th October 2025.

As part of the Donation Drive, NSS volunteers visited Shastri Nagar, the school’s adopted village, and distributed clothes, toys, sweets, and essentials among the residents. A special session on menstrual hygiene management was also conducted, and sanitary pads were distributed to promote women’s health and awareness.

The Anti-Cracker Rally, led by Programme Officer Ms. Chaitaly Nanda, aimed to spread awareness about celebrating a safe and eco-friendly Diwali. During the Pledge Ceremony, students vowed to avoid firecrackers and instead celebrate the festival by lighting diyas and spreading joy responsibly.

The initiative beautifully reflected the NSS motto – “Not Me, But You”, reminding everyone that the true spirit of Diwali lies in sharing light, kindness, and compassion.
