Description:
“Empowering girl child is akin to empowering your future”. In keeping up with the philosophy of Mother Seraphina of uplifting the girl child, Sacred Heart is ever committed to this noble cause. Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) & Yuvsatta-NGO jointly launched a unique ‘GIRLS INDIA Project’ with active participation of Principals of 50 prominent private and government Schools of the city. We collaborate with GMSSS, sector 20, Chandigarh under this project. The students of both the schools vehemently expressed their feelings on the equal rights of girls through Nukkar Natak in school hall today. Skit on good touch and bad touch was presented by the students of GMSSS sector-20 Chandigarh. A declamation competition on “Dual responsibility of Women” was also held wherein the speakers eloquently articulated their views on this relevant and often ignored topic. Gurleen of GMSSS was adjudged the winner and Medha Sood and Shraney Aggarwal of our school bagged second and third position respectively. Rev. Sr Kusum graced the event with her benign presence.
