The much-awaited Opening Ceremony of the SHS International Leaders’ Conclave and Model United Nations (MUN) 2025 set an inspiring tone for the three-day conference, celebrating diplomacy, dialogue, and leadership under the powerful theme “Veritas – Truth in Diplomacy.”

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Dr. Monica Munjial, Chairperson, Centre for Social Work, Panjab University, and Guest of Honour, Dr. Nitya Prakash, distinguished author, entrepreneur, and leadership expert. The event was graced by Rev. Sr. Anupa (School Manager), Rev. Sr. Venita Joseph (Principal), Rev. Sr. Usha (Vice Principal), Rev. Sr. Elvina (Primary Wing Headmistress), Chief Advisors Adv. Priyanshu Grover and Mr. Adarsh Kumar Singh, and Faculty In-Charges Ms. Alka Sood and Ms. Renu Sahni.

The ceremony began with the Lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge and truth. This was followed by a soulful Prayer and a graceful Prayer Dance, invoking divine blessings for the success of the conference. The audience was then treated to captivating cultural performances including “Taal and Tempo” – a Classical Fusion and a vibrant Bollywood Retro medley, each seamlessly blending rhythm, energy, and artistry.

Both dignitaries delivered inspiring addresses, emphasizing leadership grounded in compassion, innovation, and authenticity. The audience also heard from Chief Advisor Mr. Adarsh Kumar Singh, who shared valuable insights on education, youth empowerment, and the power of dialogue.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the Felicitation of the Executive Board, honouring the remarkable individuals leading 12+ committees dedicated to global peace, equality, and innovation. The event culminated in the official declaration of SHS MUN 2025 open by Deputy Secretary-General Vidula Kukreja, marking the beginning of three days of meaningful debate, collaboration, and diplomacy.

In her Welcome Address, Principal Rev. Sr. Venita Joseph congratulated the organizing team for their outstanding efforts and inspired delegates to engage with honesty, empathy, and vision.

The Opening Ceremony beautifully embodied the essence of Sacred Heart’s motto – “Let Your Light Shine,” inspiring every delegate to lead with truth, integrity, and purpose as they embarked on their MUN journey at the SHS International Leaders’ Conclave 2025.
