Description:
"An actively involved parent helps make a child's education truly wholesome and worthwhile."
This nurturing support from parents not only positively influences a child’s academic achievements but also enhances their overall growth and development.
An orientation program was conducted for parents of students in classes II to V, aiming to familiarize them with the school curriculum, rules and regulations, co-curricular activities, and to strengthen the partnership between parents and teachers for the holistic development of students.
The program began with a prayer invoking God’s blessings, followed by the lighting of the lamp by both parents and teachers. Parents were then reminded of the school rules and regulations, the importance of punctuality, regularity, and personal hygiene. Special emphasis was placed on the significance of the student’s handbook and the e-care panel.
Parents were also informed about the National Education Policy (NEP) and the upcoming assessments pattern in the new academic year. Furthermore, communication between parents and children was highlighted as a vital aspect of student development in the modern world.
Ms. Sakshi, the school councillor, addressed the importance of students' mental well-being, while Dr. Sonia, the school doctor, spoke about their physical health. Parents were also educated on the POCSO Act and the importance of keeping children safe.
Teachers discussed the challenges of parenting in the digital age, focusing on guiding children through the complexities of the online world. Suggestions were made to encourage outdoor activities and limit screen time to foster a healthy balance in students' lives.
Finally, the mentors for the upcoming session were introduced, and parents were thanked for their active participation in the orientation program.
