The Eco Club of Sacred Heart Sr. Sec. School organized an engaging Inter-House Environment Quiz Competition on 5th July 2025, focusing on the theme ‘Chandigarh Biodiversity’. The event aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and awareness about medicinal plants, ecology, Indian environmentalists, and forests.
The quiz comprised four insightful rounds:
Medicinal Plants
Ecology of Chandigarh
Famous Ecologists of India
Indian Forests
Each round was designed to challenge the participants and deepen their understanding of environmental conservation and the rich biodiversity of our region.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from all four houses. St. Clare’s House emerged as the winner, followed by St. Francis House in second place. St. Mary’s House and St. Joseph’s House shared the third position, showcasing an impressive level of preparedness and teamwork.
The event was further enriched by the active involvement of the student audience, who eagerly responded to the open questions, reflecting a growing interest in ecological awareness.
Overall, the quiz served as a valuable platform to nurture environmental consciousness among the students and celebrate the natural heritage of Chandigarh.
