Description:
The Girl Guide unit of Sacred Heart Sr Sec. School, Chandigarh organized a two day camp in the school campus. Considering the extreme weather conditions, the camp was conducted in the evenings. Ms Ritika Azad, the Guide Captain along with Sr Kusum, the Vice Principal guided the guides. All four patrols were trained in tent pitching and the procedure for Flag Hoisting was demonstrated under the able guidance of Mrs Manisha Swami and Mrs Indu Bala, Associate State Training Commissioners of Scouts and Guides, Chandigarh. They were also assisted by our teachers, Ms Anu Sharma and Ms Poonam Manchanda. Zumba and Aerobics followed by no gas cooking was the agenda for the second day. Guides also practised all the types of knots and hitches in Dwitya Sopan. On account of “World Environment Day”, the guides planted saplings on the school premises. The camp concluded with a proud rendition of the flag song and prayer song of BSG. The Guide team of the school thanked Sr. Arti, the Principal for providing them this opportunity of growing and discovering their true potential.
